Watch as bluefin tuna, kingfish and oysters are farmed and processed or take part in one of the available tours. Whether it’s Southern Bluefin Tuna from Port Lincoln or oysters from Coffin Bay, Eyre Peninsula’s fine quality produce has built a reputation as being the best in the world. For the budding chef, learn from some of the best local seafood experts with a seafood cooking class at the newly built Port Lincoln Cooking School. Ocean Adventures & Fishing

Whatever you choose, the region’s national parks are abundant and all within a short driving distance from Port Lincoln.
Nature & Wildlife
For nature lovers, Eyre Peninsula boasts and abundance of natural untouched beauty - it doesn’t get much better than this. If you are only in Port Lincoln for a short stay, take advantage of the surrounding beautiful beaches and Port Lincoln National Park, only a 15-20 minute drive from the town centre. For those on an extended stay, explore the rugged west coast to the Nullarbor - home to deserted beaches, great surf, whale watching and fishing. Between May and October each year, you can watch the Southern Right Whales off the coast of the Nullarbor Plain. For a great day out with the family, visit the Glen Forest Animal Farm 15 minutes out of Port Lincoln. Goin’ Off Safaris and Southern Blue Travel also offer guided tours in the area.
Kite Surfing, Paddle Boarding & Surfing
The Eyre Peninsula's ‘West Coast’ as it is known to locals (the area from Port Lincoln through to the Nullarbor), is home to some of the best un-crowded surfing waves in Australia. There are many surf breaks to enjoy around Port Lincoln, Coffin Bay, Elliston, Streaky Bay and afar. If you are staying during the warmer months, it’s a great time to try stand up paddle boarding or a kite surfing lesson which you can do through Xtreme Kites & Paddle Port Lincoln.
